HD DVD
As anticipated last week after Amazon posted and then pulled product descriptions for three new models of Toshiba HD DVD players, today it was made official .

The HD-A3 at $299.99 replaces the entry level HD-A2, and is still limited to 1080i output, with no mention of 24Hz support.  The mid level HD-A30 replaces the HD-A20 at $399.99, and now supports 1080p24.  Also on the way is the HD-A35 at $499.99, which also outputs 1080p24, and throws in support for Deep Color and has 5.1 analog output. It remains to be seen whether the HD-35 is the replacement for the flagship HD-XA2, or whether it's merely a HD-30 with multi-channel analog audio output.

The HD-A3 and HD-A35 are due in September, with the HD-A30 arriving last in October.  Expect to see Toshiba introduce the new models at CEDIA next month.
